Quick Write

The peachy sunlight finally creeps around the cliff, giving the rapids a subtle glow. Crystal clear water vanishes out of sight as it turns into a white water fall. Reddish-brown rocks crumble beneath me, falling thousands of feet to their doom. Peering over the shear drop, I am really regretting my decision to come up here. My jelly legs slowly stumble into my vibrant kayak and my arms tightly grip the paddle. My shivering nerves gradually turn my head towards my partner. A reassuring nod, and I finally have the guts to go. My butterflies flutter away as I confidently push myself over the edge. See you at the bottom, if I make it.

Waihi Beach

Waihi Beach

On hot stuffy school days…

My legs remember the scorching, golden sand,

My toes remember the immense, raging crabs,

My  body remembers getting gorgeously tanned,

My arms remember supporting me in a handstand,

My hands remember diving under the waves,

My face remember the repulsive salt taste,

But best of all,

My mind remember fun times at Waihi Beach.

My Bio Poem

Keira.
Child of Margaret and Bruce.
Who loves tumbling on the floor at gymnastics, eating black forest chocolate and watching funny shows on TV.
Who hates annoying flies, cooked fish and severe burns.
Who wants to go to luxurious Fiji.
Who wishes she could meet Simone Biles.
Who is scared of painful death, falling off high cliffs and my vicious cat.
Who dreams of becoming filthy rich.
Who is determined to build a towering mansion.
Who values every cent, crystal clear water and fresh food.
Who is proud of my family.
Who graduated from Tatuanui School.
Who lives in Morrinsville.

Science Fair Conclusion

After all of my testing I had learnt a lot about the bacteria that lives on our cows. Even though I did not have clear results I was still very happy with my experiment and the final look of my project. I had learnt a lot about the different species of bacteria such as staphylococcus, streptococcus and E-coli, the process of gram staining and gram positives and negatives. I am really pleased that I am going to East-Waikato and many thanks to Niki for helping me and Anexa for using their lab.
grown extensively in the corn b states of the U.S. It’s like corn-on-the-cob in appearance and cultivation, but only popcorn kernels are capable of popping.
Popcorn’s ability to pop lies in the fact that the kernels contain a small amount of water stored in a circle of soft starch inside the hard outer casing. When heated, the water expands, creating pressure within, until eventually the casing gives way and the kernels explode and pop. This allows the water to escape as steam, turning the kernels inside out.
The key to having more kernels pop is a constantly improved product. Throughout the years, popcorn processors have implemented significant hybrid popcorn seed research to continually enhance their product.
